In the wake of all the huge news from the Star Wars Celebration, Fantasy Flight has announced the seventh wave of ships for the "X-Wing Miniatures Game."
There were four ships announced in this latest expansion - one to the Rebels, one to the Empire and two for the latest faction 'Scum and Villainy.'
K-Wing
The K-Wing heavy starfighter is the latest addition to the Rebels' arsenal with the seventh wave for the "X-Wing Miniatures Game." While never seen in any of the Star Wars movies, the K-Wing did have multiple appearances in the Star Wars EU. This ship is heavily armored (four shield and five hull) and will be used as a fast, hit-and-run bomber type.
The K-Wing will also feature a new action that's being introduced with this latest wave - SLAM, or Sub-Light Acceleration Motor. The SLAM action effectively lets the K-Wing have two movement actions in a turn, getting them in range of their opponents fast so they can deliver their deadly ordnance.
TIE Punisher
The Imperials get access to the TIE Punisher...which is essentially the frightening, older, faster brother of the classic TIE Bomber. It has shields, making it much harder to destroy. It also has two torpedo slots, two missile slots and two bomb slots, which in combination with the Extra Munitions, makes it an explosive addition to any Imperial squad.
Hound’s Tooth
The Hound's Tooth is the ship of the bounty hunter Bossk, and is one of the two ships that the Scum and Villainy will be getting with the seventh wave. It doesn't look like lot - your standard light freighter - but there is more to this ship than meets the eye.
A whole other ship, in fact.
If you're playing the Hound's Tooth and you feel like you're not going to make it to your next turn, you'll be able to launch a unique Z-95 Headhunter called the Nashtah Pup and keep on fighting. In order to use this ability, you'll need to already have a Z-95 Headhunter, as the Hound's Tooth expansion itself only comes with the one ship.
Kihraxz Fighter
The second ship for the Scum and Villainy faction is straight from the Black Sun syndicate - the Kihraxz Fighter. This ship is essentially the Villainy faction's answer to the X-Wing Starfighter. It's a well-rounded ship, built for speed, durability and the ability to deliver a solid punch. Definitely a solid addition to anyone flying with the Villainy faction.
Wave 7 for the "X-Wing Miniatures Game" does not have an official release date yet, but it is due during the second quarter of 2015.
