Fallout: Lone Star is an ambitious project to say the least, gathering some of the most talented "Fallout: New Vegas" modders together to create a completely new game.
This time we find the lone wanderer in a southerly location; namely post-apocalyptic Texas. They are calling it the "West Texas Wasteland" currently, and it is home to at least one vault (Vault 50) and the Van Buren Prison (you may remember Van Buren as the code name for the original attempt at "Fallout 3" by Interplay/Black Isle).
The concept art they have in place is magnificent, really evocative of what a proper Fallout game should feel like. The down side to all of this is that there is no release date currently, but I encourage you to follow them on Twitter and Facebook and let them know you want to see this completed! They need all the encouragement they can get for a project of this magnitude.
On a side note, they are looking for people to join the team. If you have any experience with modding Fallout using the G.E.C.K., and are interested in contributing to what is sure to be an amazing project, drop them a line.
