Sixty new cards are on the way to allow your Runner to exploit the new pathways found through jacking into the Network and using their digital avatars to “manipulate the virtual world in order to access hidden data.” Corporations on the other hand are given new ways to counter those efforts, even “using the Runners to further their own agendas.”
The Liberated Mind Data Pack is the fifth Data Pack in the Mumbad Cycle.
“As the Mumbad Cycle recasts the game's cyberstruggles amid the heated politics and intrigues of the Indian Union, The Liberated Mind explores the more transcendent qualities of life on the Network. Its sixty new cards (…) draw upon the futuristic spirituality of a people whose philosophy is shaped by Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism as well as the ability to jack into the virtual world for months on end.”
The Liberated Mind will be in stores during the first quarter of 2016.
The sixth and final Data Pack in the Mumbad Cycle will be Fear the Masses.
“Election Day is here! And the impression its events are about to leave upon the citizens of the Indian Union will carry forward for many generations. Featuring some of the most potent and deck-defining cards from the whole Mumbad Cycle, Fear the Masses carries the cycle to its climactic conclusion… but leaves it to you to deal with the fall-out.”
The conclusion to the current Netrunner cycle is set to be in stores during the second quarter on 2016.
With Fear the Masses closing the Mumbad Cycle, the next cycle is hot on its heels. The 23 Seconds Data Pack is the first Data Pack in the Flashpoint Cycle.
“For twenty-three seconds, the world's largest bank and backer of the world's most important currency goes dark. Trillions of credits are lost, stolen, or simply erased. Each corp blames the others. Economies, industries, lives collapse. And that’s just the beginning.”
This new cycle is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2016.
Fantasy Flight is also releasing the 2015 World Champion Corp Deck, “Engineering the Future,” and the 2015 World Champion Runner Deck, “Valencia.” They will be hitting stores in the first quarter of 2016.
