Ubisoft has announced that "Assassin's Creed VR" will be released this year.
It should be noted that this VR experience is not based on the games but rather the 2016 movie coming out later this year, as evidenced by the accompanying picture with Michael Fassbender ("Assassin's Creed: The Movie: The Game?"). "Assassin's Creed VR" will be presented by Fox and Practical Magic.
This follows news that Ubisoft is taking a break from the annual release for major "Assassin's Creed" series. While the movie, book series, "Assassin's Creed: Chronicles," and VR game are coming out this year, there won't be a major release so the development team can focus on making the next game as polished as possible following concerns and criticisms for "Assassin's Creed: Unity/Syndicate."
