On the heels of the new "Call of Duty" announcement, EA has dropped the reveal trailer for the latest iteration of the "Battlefield" series. Rather than following the recent trend of futuristic first person shooters, the new "Battlefield 1" is set in World War I....and it looks pretty fantastic.
It's hard to know what to be the most excited in - the brutal trench warfare, intense biplane dogfights, the gigantic blimps or taking control of the heavy tanks of the era. The trailer does a really great job of selling just about every aspect of WW1 warfare as an interesting mechanic for this new game. By making a unique decision and jumping into an older conflict, EA is doing a lot to push this series forward.
"Battlfield 1" is set for release of October 21st of this year on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
