Bethesda shows off "Fallout 4." After a clipshow, they show that the game starts off a little before the start off the fallout. It also starts with the customization of your character, which can be either a male or female, with traits passed down by your parents. Your character survives the initial fallout and is the sole survivor of vault 117 200 years later.
The robotic butler-like character, Godsworth, survives the fallout. At any point your character can follow Godsworth or go on to wander off. Your character also runs into a stray dog. The V.A.T.S. system also makes a return.
The pipboy also makes a return, where you can look at your stats, limbs (more detailed), and play 8-bit games. They also made a pipboy watch in the collector's edition. It even works with your phone and has an app that works along with it.
"Fallout Shelter" was also announced for iOS. You take control of the overseer of a vault you create, where you give people resources, weapons, and more to help live as you manage money, centers, and more. It's free to play, but they said there won't paywalls or anything of the sort. The only thing that can be bought would be lunch boxes. The app launches after the press conference.
Your character can also rebuild your home/town just the way you want it to be by scrapping items, which can be just about anything. People will also come, which will add to your materials. You can also build defenses, like turrets and power generators, against raiders. They said that the building is option to the game.
Materials can also be used to build just about any gun you can think of, along with your power armor.
"Fallout 4" will be coming out Nov. 10.
