Posted on Call of Duty Community page, Activision stated that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" won't have a single-player campaign.
Activision made note that the reason there won't be a single-player campaign is because the old hardware couldn't handle what was needed. In addition to not having a single-player campaign, the Weapon Paint Shop and the suite for eSports won't be included in the PS3/360 versions of the game. The only modes available are the Multiplayer and Zombies mode. However, to compensate for the lack of modes, the game will be available at $49.99 and a downloadable version of the first "Call of Duty: Black Ops" for free.
All the regular modes will still be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. All versions of the game will release on November 6, 2015.
