According to GamesIndustry, "Borderlands Online" has been cancelled.
Take-Two Interactive confirmed to GamesIndustry that in addition to the game being cancelled, 2K China, the studio developing the game, has been shutdown with around 150 staff members losing their jobs.
We determined that the additional time required to finish current projects at the studio, particularly Borderlands Online, would not yield a favorable return on investment.
As of this writing, there hasn't been a new "Borderlands" game revealed to the public. However, there are rumors that the a new, big installment is in the works with the team getting geared to work with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
