Posting to Twitter, Capcom UK senior marketing director confirmed that the "Resident Evil 2" remake will be an actual remake and not a remaster, after a misunderstanding from a translation flub.
Seems to be a few people picking up a mistranslation in our own investor report. RE2 will be a full from the ground up remake NOT a remaster. Stuart Turner
With that said, it remains to be seen if "Resident Evil 2 Remake" will remain true a la "Resident Evil Remake" where the controls are the same or if new controls will be implemented.
