According to a post on NeoGAF, there is a rumor that once-beloved Sony mascot Crash Bandicoot may be appearing in Activision's toy-based game "Skylanders."
As with any rumor, this shouldn't be taken all that seriously. There's a page from a Singapore-based retailer named Qisahn that lists "Skylanders Imaginators Starter Pack." While the post shows a Standard and Dark back, there's a mystery pack called "Crash," which so happens to be PlayStation 4 exclusive.
Speculation wise, this could mean that Crash would appear as a figure and character. This happened with Spyro the Dragon first, as he was featured prominently for the first wave but was shelved away and hasn't particularly been seen ever since "Skylanders" started off. Activision also seemingly owns the rights for "Crash Bandicoot" (though from what was evidenced by "Uncharted 4," that might not be necessarily true). On the other hand, this retailer may not be completely reliable and a "Crash" edition may not even have the character in it at all. Conversely, Sony has been sneaking in hints about a "Crash Bandicoot" game for a while now, such as street signs with Crash on them in advertisements, Andrew House wearing a Crash shirt similar to Phil Spencer did with "Battletoads," and "Uncharted 4" itself.
Whether this rumor is true or not will have to be seen, as the Sony rumors also counter it. We may see what this is all about come E3 2016.
