Indie game developer Brace Yourself Games, creators of the roguelike rhythm game "Crypt of the NecroDancer," announced yesterday that an Apple iOS version of the game is now available on the iTunes App Store for $4.99.
The game, known as "Crypt of the NecroDancer Pocket Edition," contains the same rhythm-based dungeon crawling and randomly generated dungeon system. The ability to play any song is also kept intact, giving users an option to use any song from their iTunes music library instead of the game's default songs. There are also four playable remixed soundtracks included as a bonus.
According to Brace Yourself Games' recent Tumblr post, players can choose from one of three touch control schemes: d-pad, edge, or swipe. Controller support is also enabled, as well as GameCenter achievements and leaderboards. An Android version for the game has not been announced yet.
The game's iOS release follows five months after its PlayStation 4 and Vita launch last February. The original PC version, released via Steam in April of last year, was met with great success. The game received several accolades and is currently boasting over 6,000 positive reviews on Steam. Normally priced at $14.99, the PC version is currently on sale for $3.74 until July 4, when Steam's summer sale ends.
