Crytek, the development company responsible for “Far Cry,” “Crysis,” and “Homefront,” announced a new title today: “Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age.”
“Hunt” is a four-person cooperative shooter which drops you in the middle of the 19th century, loads you with period-appropriate pistols and crossbows, and tasks you with the goal of surviving all the terror and danger the wilderness have to offer. You're also expected to come face to face with myths and monsters that terrified settlers in the 1800's. They're not just stories. They're real for you.
In “Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age,” players will be counting their bullets and crying out for help as they delve deeper into the shadowy world we've created … from the outset of the development process, we've poured our imaginations into the game so that everyone who plays Hunt will discover a challenging experience that feels fresh, captivating and rich in possibilities.David Adams, Crytek USA CEO
Crytek intends to release “Hunt” for both PC and console gamers sometime after the closed beta ends later this year, so stay tuned for more developments about what’s to come for this exciting new game.
