In an interview with GGN Gamer (with thanks to NeoGAF for a more focused translation), "Dark Souls" director Hidetaka Miyazaki discussed what's in store for From Software.
While he discussed things like DLC for "Dark Souls III," he confirmed that there is a new IP in the works and that the "Dark Souls" series is complete. He says, "What is certain for now is, to me personally Dark Souls is over. So rather than make another sequel, I think it’s time we take a step to a new direction. Development of a new IP has already begun." While he wants to do more new things, there are a few games that he would like to revisit, such as the "Armored Core" series.
What this new IP could be isn't known at the moment, though with E3 coming soon, From Software could make an official reveal at the show, though that's dependent on if they want to and if they have anything to show in the first place.
