Via EuroGamer, Digital Foundry claims that they have "independently established" that there is an improved PlayStation 4 in the works.
Right now, it's being nicknamed the PlayStation 4K by both outsiders and insiders, as it is aiming for a 4K gaming on a console. That seems to be the goal than the actual thing, seeing as their are claims that this new PS4K can get close enough but not actual 4K.
There's three guesses as to what this new console is. The first one is that the PS4K is just a more powerful PlayStation 4 with better technology, and that's about that. The second one is that it's an "evolution" of PlayStation 4, where there might be a noticeable split between computing power for the different PS4 consoles. The last option is that it might just be a PS4 Slim with 4K visuals.
It isn't known what exactly this rumored PS4K is fully about yet, as there are only reports. Sony has yet to confirm nor deny the existence of this PS4K. We don't know what this means for those who already bought a PS4 either. In any case, take this report as a grain of salt, as only Sony would know what this thing may or may not be.
