It has been just over a year since "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" was released, and since June (when the last DLC pack was released for it), the game has fallen kind of quiet. It is never quiet in the Dragon Ball universe for long, though. On Tuesday, DIMPS released an annoucement trailer for the next iteration of the game "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."
Currently, the game looks like a lot of the same from the first "Xenoverse" game - custom characters, fighting in various DBZ timelines and, of course, all the usual suspects (Goku, Vegeta, etc). The graphics look crisper, but it has the same style that the first game used. As more information for this new game is released, it will be interesting to see what is going to set "Xenoverse 2" apart from the first game, and whether that uniqueness will be enough to make this sequel really stand out. Bandai said this about the game in the official press release:
Developed to fully utilize the power of current generation gaming consoles and PCs; DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 builds upon the highly popular DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE with enhanced graphics that will further immerse players into the largest and most detailed Dragon Ball world ever developed. DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 will deliver a new hub city and the most character customization choices to date among a multitude of new features and special upgrades. Additional details and features pertaining to DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 will be revealed at E3 2016 (June 14-16) in BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.’s demo theaters, located in rooms 303A&B in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is set for release by the end of this year on PS4, XBox One and PC.
