At the Tokyo Game Show yesterday, we learned the new official name of the upcoming Berserk-Dynasty Warriors game - "Berserk and the Band of the Hawk." The name is a straight reference to "White Hawk" Griffith's mercenary group from the manga/anime. We also got a very cool look at this new dark-fantasy Berserk title in the form of a new trailer.
The game is boasting a wide array of characters that the player can choose from, over two hours of cinematics and more bloody combat than you could possibly shake a huge sword at. According to the main site, there will also be a healthy bit of story for fans of the series hoping for a bit more than just gratuitous amounts of bloodshed.
In this game, in addition to the well-known and popular "Golden Age Arc", you will also be able to join Guts and his newest companions on his journey of revenge through "The Hawk of the Millennium Arc".
Additionally, the extensive story includes an impressive amount of artwork, including footage from the actual animation movie trilogy and new, original scenes portraying more detailed interactions between the members of the Band of the Hawk and other characters.
"Berserk and the Band of the Hawk" is set for release in Japan at the end of October of this year. North America won't see a release until February 21st of 2017, with Europe getting it a few days later on February 24th. The game will be released on PS4, Steam and the Vita.
