At EA Play, we got a taste of some gameplay for the upcoming "Star Wars: Battlefront 2." This mostly features a multiplayer match on Naboo, but at the end, it does give us a quick look into the single-player campaign, as well. Take a peek:
All Battlefront games excel at large-scale battles and chaotic firefights and it looks like this title is going to live up to it's name. From this trailer, we can predict that 'Battlefront 2' will have battles from the three Ages of the Star Wars movieverse and we'll see stages on many different worlds - some new (Scarif), and others very familiar (Tatooine, Hoth etc). There are a lot of familiar heroes rejoining the ranks here, but I'm most interested in seeing how newer characters like Rey and Kylo Ren will influence battles.
The most disappointing thing about the 'Star Wars: Battlefront' game released in 2015 was the complete lack of a single-player campaign. Well, EA definitely heard that complaint and it looks like "Battlefront 2" is ready to give everyone the epic, story-driven campaign that they demanded. This trailer doesn't reveal much about that campaign, but we do get hints about an "unusual" mission that will likely be the main focus of it all. Oh, and of course the massive fleet combat we see seconds later in the clip.
After the trailer, EA also gave us 15 minutes of gameplay footage - again, this just focusing on the multiplayer battle aspect and on the Theed map.
"Star Wars: Battlefront 2" is set for release on November 17 of this year, on PC, XBox One and Playstation 4.
