Announced just yesterday, a remastered "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX" is being made for the Playstation 4 and set for release early 2017. Check out the announcement trailer below:
This release essentially contains four games and two movies on one disk. Included will be the remastered original "Kingdom Hearts," "Chain of Memories" and a cinematic version of "358/2 Days", "Kingdom Hearts 2.5" (which contains "Kingdom Hearts II", "Birth By Sleep," and a cinematic version of "Coded" - a Kingdom Hearts mobile game). In January, before this release, we will also get "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" which will include a console version of the 3DS game "Dream Drop Distance" and a movie version of browser game "Unchained X." Of course, the big attraction of "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" will be "Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage", which will give us brand new content for the Kingdom Hearts universe, using the same engine that "Kingdom Hearts III" will eventually use.
That...basically brings all the "Kingdom Hearts" games under a single console. Hopefully, "Kingdom Hearts 3" will follow soon after.
"Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX" is set for release on March 31st of 2017.
