Roll7 the team behind indie favourite “OlliOlli” alongside publisher Devolver Digital have released cover shooter “Not A Hero”. Coming onto Steam, Humble Bundle, and GOG (formerly Good Old Games). Players around the world will now get experience a world filled with guns, excitement, and an anthropomorphic rabbit from the future.
Following the adventures of campaign manager, Steve, players will work hard at the request of mayoral candidate and previously mentioned time travelling anthropomorphic Rabbit (phew…) simple named BunnyLord. It’s probably important to mention that cleaning up the city doesn’t really involve picking up trash or anything remotely close to community service, BunnyLord would probably disagree to an extent. Steve, you see, is an assassin for hire, or at least he was. It’s up to him to gather together a motley crew of would-be killers and "clean up" the city's criminal underbelly, intercepting all the nooks and crannies.
With your rosters varied skills of either of shooting from the hip, slicing from the sky or punching really…really hard in the face to name but a few, you’ll be helping BunnyLord’s political campaign as he tries to sway those undecided voters that he’s the right choice. “Not A Hero” see’s you tackle the real issues, the burning problems in a city beset by crime…by placing a gun into the face of those problems. It’s a platformer with a well-meaning heart backed by political agenda, ethics, accountability and an over the top, probably should be in a Rambo film, level of gunfire
Combining 2D and 2 ½ D perspectives “Not A Hero” is run by new technology ISO-Slant. Designed to seamlessly merge the action switching view with little to no effort ISO-Slant has allowed developer Roll7 to almost revolutionise the pixel art gaming world. This game looks great and has a fantastic game system which will allow players of all flavors to try their hand at taking on the tasks laid out by BunnyLord.
It won’t be surprising if ISO-Slant takes off in the world of Indie developers, as it’s sure to open up a whole world of new possibilities and ideas.
