The "Final Fantasy VII Remake" was announced at Sony's E3 conference, and people are excited. It appears that "FFVII" may not be the only "Final Fantasy" game to get a remake. Talking to Mike Minotti from Venture Beat, "Final Fantasy" and "Kingdom Hearts" director Tetsuya Nomura discussed interest in making more "Final Fantasy" remakes.
Considering that we have remakes of Final Fantasy up to IV and then we have VII — I’ve been working with Mr. [Yoshinori] Kitase since Final Fantasy V, and we’ve noticed that V and VI are missing. That bothers me. How come we skipped over those two? Tetsuya Nomura
If Square Enix were to do more remakes, "Final Fantasy V & VI" would most likely be the next ones to get the treatment, with "Final Fantasy VIII & IX" following.
