Developer Dontnod ("Life is Strange") has started showing off some more of their upcoming action-RPG "Vampyr" with a new trailer they released just prior to E3. Check it out below:
Trading the angst of the Blackwell Academy with seedy, old vampire-infested London, Dontnod is definitely showing us the range of their abilities. In "Vampyr," the player controls Dr. Jonathan Reid, a famous surgeon turned vampire as he navigates a familiar city with a new curse. As with "Life Is Strange," the choices the player makes are very important. It would be easy to just pick off anyone that you wanted whenever hunger strikes, but everything is connected in "Vampyr" and too much death in one area could attract deadly vampire hunters or other dangerous creatures from the underbelly of the city.
"Vampyr" is scheduled for release in November of this year, on PS4, XBox One and PC.
The song used in the trailer is "Devil" by Ida Maria.
