The day is finally upon us. Blizzard is releasing the latest expansion to the popular “Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft” card game.
“Curse of Naxxramas” is the latest installment into the franchise and features a single-player Adventure Mode. There are five different wings featuring different bosses that have cards and hero powers unique to them with the Arachnid Quarter being the first to unlock. As you fight your way through, you can unlock new cards for your collection. Defeat each wing, and you'll be rewarded with a new Legendary card. “Curse of Naxxramas” introduces 30 new cards, new card backs, and a new game board, as well as many other wonders to be released over the course of five weeks.
You can play the Arachnid Quarter for free during the “Curse of Naxxramas” launch. If you venture into the Arachnid Quarter during the launch event, you can unlock it for free permanently. If you unlock the Arachnid Quarter for free during launch, you can then purchase the remaining quarters (Plague Quarter, Military Quarter, Construct Quarter, and Frostwyrm Lair) in bundles depending on how you want to pay. The cost using in-game gold is 700 gold per wing or $6.99 USD should you choose to pay with actual currency.
Catch “Curse of Naxxramas” on PC, Mac, or iPad on July 22.
