Blizzard Entertainment announced the date of the “Hearthstone: Goblins vs. Gnomes” expansion today, set for Dec. 8 to the U.S., Oceania, and Southeast Asia. Players in Europe, Korea, Taiwan, and China will receive their copies on Dec. 9.
“Goblins vs. Gnomes,” like the base game, will be free to play. Card packs can be earned with in-game gold (by winning arenas or completing daily quests), crafted, or bought outright using the credit card attached to your Battle.net account. The expansion adds 120 new cards and a completely new card type (mech).
“Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft” is currently free to play on Windows, Mac, and iPad with an Android version rolling out soon. Stay tuned to Player Theory for a review of the game when it’s released in just a week!
