343 Industries has announced that they are postponing the pre-season of their "Halo" Championship Series. It was originally scheduled to be launched on Nov. 16, but has been delayed by one week to Nov. 23. 343 has stated that this postponement is primarily a result of the matchmaking issues that are currently plaguing "Halo: Master Chief Collection."
For those who are unaware, the "Halo" Championship Series is an official eSports league that is currently focusing on "Halo 2: Anniversary Edition." Teams of four players will compete in multiple events and tournaments to earn HCS. The team with the most points at the conclusion of the series will play in the HCS finals, which will conclude the series in March 2015.
This delay will ensure that the first pre-season cup is up to the standards of our fans and competitors. 343 Industries
Hopefully, this delay gives enough time to resolve the problem. Until then, enjoy an extra week of practice competitive "Halo" players!
