“EVE Online,” an MMORPG that allows players to customize ships in over 7,500 star systems, turned 11 years old today.
Players start as a simple pilot who can climb the ranks, design and manufacture increasingly complicated and powerful starships, and engage in dangerous political warfare against enemy factions. The game utilizes both PVP and PVE to engage players in a complex, thought-provoking game. Because of its quality and the unique nature of its gameplay, “EVE” has maintained a strong community over the past decade.
“EVE” made headlines early this year when a two-day battle ensued between two enemy factions, resulting in tens of thousands of real dollars in in-game damage.
Developer CCP is gifting players with some in-game goodies for their loyalty:
In your redeeming systems on character selection, you'll find a small token of our gratitude, three Gecko superheavy drones designed by the Guristas and sporting more damage, more durability and more striking power than any drone ever released before.
