Nintendo released information for the next Season Pass for "Hyrule Warriors Legends" (or the first for those jumping onto the 3DS version of the game first).
Just like the first Season Pass on the Wii U version, there will be four packs that will add new features, such as new maps, characters, weapons, costumes, and the like. However, you should know that there are 3 versions of this Season Pass. There is the 3DS Season Pass, the Wii U Season Pass, and one for both systems, similar to how "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U/3DS handled their DLC.
Additionally, the Wii U version will not be getting some of the content that the 3DS version is. The fairy costumes and new adventure maps will be exclusive to the 3DS version, while characters and weapons can still be bought and downloaded to the Wii U version.
The four packs include the "Master Wind Waker Pack" (unavailable for the Wii U), "Link's Awakening Pack," "Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks Pack," and "A Link Between Worlds" pack, where new characters and weapons will be added (and maps/costumes for those with the 3DS version). For those sticking with the Wii U version and not getting the 3DS version, you can buy the "Legends Character Pack" later this year in Summer 2016.
There have also been reports that the regular 3DS version of "Hyrule Warriors Legends" running horribly while the New 3DS version works the best. Please be cautious when considering a purchase of the game, as those without a New 3DS may be in for a bad time.
