In an interview with Gematsu, "Kingdom Hearts III" director Tetsuya Nomura discussed some more details, though nothing concrete, with the game.
The battle system will return to attack/magic, getting rid of the command deck. Free run is being implemented, where Sora can run and jump freely to the point of running up walls (basically making certain Reaction Commands from "Kingdom Hearts II" a possibility most of the time).
With Olympus being an exception, as evidence by the Rock Titan, all of the worlds are mostly new and have been decided. "KH3" will be the end of the Xehanort Saga, but not the end of "Kingdom Hearts," where certain characters' fates have been "decided." A release date window as been decided as well, but the publisher won't reveal anything yet. Lastly, development is going as according to plan and secret endings are "under consideration," as is tradition with "Kingdom Hearts games."
