Oasis Games Ltd, a leading Chinese publisher, have launched their award-winning exploration adventure game “KOI” to the Western market. The game follows the quest of a lone koi fish through an ever-evolving lotus pond, and is available now through the PlayStation store. Developed by Tianjin-based indie studio Dotoyou, “KOI” is the first Chinese-developed title to be published on PlayStation4 for Western territories.
“KOI” takes players on a seemingly small journey with deeper meaning. Players will guide the koi through the murky waters tainted by mankind, solving puzzles, discovering enchanting melodies hidden within deadened twigs and other zen-like missions to bring light back to the darkened, polluted waters. This artfully depicted world conveys a wonderfully imaginative experience with an entrancing soundtrack by popular Chinese artist, Zeta.
The title was previously released on mobile to positive accolades and awards overseas including earning a first place award for the Modian Web PlayStation Developer Competition. “KOI” is available for $9.99 and $7.99 exclusively for PlayStation Plus members via the PlayStation Store.
Oasis Games prides itself on serving as an ambassador for China’s massive gaming community to the West. Oasis Games was one of the first publishers in China to deliver online games to overseas markets, currently reaching over 100 million players in 70 countries. The company continues its pioneering presence as it is the first, and currently sole, strategic publishing partner of Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) Shanghai for overseas publishing market.
