Using a trailer that uses 100% original music and definitely not featuring any vampires (why would you even think that?!), Paradox Interactive announced the official release date for Magicka 2.
The game takes place after the Wizard Wars, which all but wiped out the Wizards - and the ones that remain are not exactly shining beacons of good. The players will get the chance to explore Midgård and, of course, explore the game's enhanced magic system. Just like in the first "Magicka", the players will have access to elements and the ability to weave these elements into powerful (or ridiculous) spell combos to overcome their enemies.
And, as always, friendly-fire is the best way to test the effectiveness of your spells.
"Magicka 2" will allow for up to four-player co-op play in all available modes.
One of the new features of "Magicka 2" are artifacts, which will let the player actually change the way the game plays, allowing for a lot of replay-ability.
"Magicka 2" will be released on PC and PS4 on May 26th of this year. It is available to pre-order today!
