Caught by IGN, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" might include in-game microtransactions.
On the PlayStation Store for Italy, it says "Acquisti in-game opzionali," which roughly means "optional in-game purchases."
Interesting to note, IGN's Jose Otero noticed an odd prompt when previewing "The Phantom Pain." During development for Mother Base, Otero received the prompt, "Reduced time features cannot be used in offline mode."
If these rumors of microtransactions are true, it would match in line of Konami's strategy for an immensely large focus on mobile and mobile-centric games.
