In a somewhat unexpected announcement at Microsoft's E3 conference, "Metro Exodus" was officially revealed with a terror-filled trailer that captures the helpless claustrophobia that the Metro series is known for...and then transitions into something else. Check it out below:
It looks like "Metro Exodus" leaves the familiar Moscow metro and takes player into the Russian countryside where the air is noticeably less toxic but the wildlife is just as unfriendly. With this game, the developers are trying a more non-linear story, opening up the setting for exploration as the player travels across the continent. The game's story takes place over a full year, meaning the player will also have to deal with different seasons and whatever new dangers those seasons may bring.
"Metro Exodus" is set for release in 2018 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
