For those who like the console versions of "Minecraft" better than the desktop version, good news is rolling in. The PS4 version of "Minecraft" will be 36 times larger than the worlds on the PS3. On top of that, your world saves from the PS3 version will easily transfer and upgrade to the PS4 version. Additionally, if you purchased the PS3 version of "Minecraf,t" you can upgrade for a "small fee" of $5.00 to the PS4 version.
We value the loyalty of PlayStation fans who bought Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition last year, and want to make things as simple as possible for any early adopters. I’ve experienced the pain of lost progress many times; it’s not cool.
The PS4 version will also introduce using the DualShock 4 Touch Pad to navigate menus faster and make crafting a little easier as well, not to mention all the Sony DLC that will be added as time goes on. You can grab "Minecraft" on the PS4 this August.
