The highly anticipated "Monster Hunter: World" has become Capcom's best-selling game with 7.5 million copies of the game sold. Currently, "Monster Hunter: World" is available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but there are also plans to release a PC version of the game later in the year.
"Monster Hunter: World" is an open world, action RPG in which players explore the New World where they can hunt and take down increasingly more difficult monsters. Players can roam the world either alone or cooperatively. The game netted high reviews, including a 90 from Metacritic, a 9 from Polygon, and an 8 from Gamespot. It was announced in June 2017 at E3.
Capcom's historically had well-loved games that have loyal, longlasting fanbases over its 38-year history. "Monster Hunter: World" itself follows the successes of "Monster Hunter 4" in Japan and "Monster Hunter Ultimate" in North America Europe. However, Capcom is also the creative force behind the "Street Fighter," "Mega Man," "Dead Rising," and "Resident Evil" franchises.
