Shortly after Amazon revealed"MK" veteran Johnny Cage would be coming back as a playable character, NetherRealm Studios released the Cage Family Trailer, showing all the members of the Cage family and more for "Mortal Kombat X."
On top of the new fighter Cassie Cage, Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage have been officially revealed to be returning playable characters. Interesting to note, Johnny and Sonya not only have been married but they also got divorced in between "Mortal Kombat (2011)" and "Mortal Kombat X."
The trailer also showed not only Jax and Shinnock, but they fought one another. It's unlikely these two characters would be unplayable, seeing as they have been prominently featured before. In addition, several characters have shown (though not playable or fightable). Those characters include Smoke, Nightwolf, Kenshi (who has a son and is playable at least in the "Mortal Kombat X" Mobile version), Fujin, Stryker, and Kabal.
"Mortal Kombat X" is scheduled to release on April 14 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Goro, veteran boss and sometimes playable character, is set to be a pre-order DLC character.
