I have exceedingly fond memories of sitting in front of my own personal 13" Magnavox Color Cathode-Ray Tube television with my Nintendo Entertainment System (N.E.S. for those in the know) playing Micro Machines. Anyone who happened to be a little kid in the late 1980's/early 1990's, should remember Micro Machines. Well, we are very excited to say that Codemasters is releasing an update to this wonderfully tiny piece of gaming nostalgia. Fitting, because they were the ones who put out the original.
Expanding on the classic tabletop racing scenario Toybox Turbos comes with 35 vehicles to drive and compete against. They come in many forms including dragsters, construction and emergency vehicles, and even something called a "Milk Float" (of which I am excited to test out). Racing these motorized machines on 18 tracks filled with wacky obstacles and time-saving shortcuts is sure to send you spiraling back to a time when Saturday morning cartoons were still a thing.
Toybox Turbos is available today on Steam for the PC, and is also slated to come to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 future.

Toybox Turbos features 35 vehicles to collect and customise, ranging from sports cars and dragsters to emergency vehicles, taxis, ice cream vans, construction vehicles, milk float, moon buggies and more! Each can be raced in six super-charged game modes; players sprint for the line in Classic Races, set their best time in Time Trial, pass as many turbocharged toys as possible in Overtake, avoid getting wiped out by the tide in Escape, beat the clock in Countdown and take down bosses in Elimination mode. To gain the advantage, gamers can collect and use a range of power-ups spread liberally around each circuit, including, but not limited to, machine guns, mines, electronic pulses and, of course, giant hammers!
