Developer Bungie released a cinematic prologue trailer as part of the announcement for the second expansion to their mega-popular game "Destiny." Narrated by the Awoken Queen of the Reef (voiced by Kirsten Potter), the trailer hints at what players can expect when this latest expansion is released.
One can easily speculate from the trailer that the players will have dealings with the Queen and the Reef will likely be a new playable area, which is always exciting. As interesting as a new area is, however, what is more intriguing is that the "House of Wolves" expansion seems to be aimed at developing a story, rather than just another expansion to grind through.
There have been some grumbles against this expansion already though, because of Bungie's announcement that "House of Wolves" will not feature any raids.
House of Wolves will not have a Raid activity. We didn't make this decision lightly. Our team has been humbled by the reception of Raids in Destiny and we are creating a new Raid for a release later this year. House of Wolves will have a new cooperative end game activity focused on variety, replayability, and skill – a new battle Arena called The Prison of Elders.
The official release date for "House of Wolves" is set for May 19th. As we get close to the date, Bungie is planning on releasing little bits of information detailing exactly what we'll find in this latest expansion - those "leaks" will start on April 22nd and end on May 8th.
