This Fall, Valve is releasing it's first original hero for the fantastically popular MOBA "Dota 2." Drawing from what seems to be the Chinese Mythos, The Monkey King is the first original character the game has seen since it's release in 2013. Check out his introduction video below:
It's hard to tell based on this trailer what kind of move-set the Monkey King is going to have (as a lot of it may just be show for the cinematic), but we do see three very different abilities. The first one it showcases is a concussion attack where the King slams his staff on the ground. The next ability looks to be an illusion technique where the Monkey King turned into a tree to surprise his enemy. The last big ability showed the Monkey King cloning himself and overwhelming a group of attackers.
There is no official release date yet. We do know that his will be part of the "New Journey Update" which comes out at some point this Fall.
