Telltale Games announced this weekend that we will be seeing the third episode of their episodic "Game of Thrones" game by the end of this month. No exact date was given, but since there are less than ten days left in March, no one should have to wait too long.
Telltale Games was kind enough to sate it's fans' appetite for more of the game by releasing a couple of screenshots of the upcoming chapter in this epic tale. These might come as a spoiler if you've never seen or heard of "Game of Thrones" before (the show, book or this game), but if you're truly curious, here they are:
We have a shot of Tyrion being escorted through the street by Lannister guards. Is it a bodyguard or has everyone's favorite Imp been arrested for something?
Here we see some of the Night's Watch swearing their oaths before a Weirwood tree on the other side of the Wall. The episode title "Sword In The Darkness" actually comes from the words that a brother of the Night's Watch says when they make that oath and swear themselves to the Wall. Do you think Gared Tuttle made the cut?
This....is a dragon. We are probably going to see a dragon in this next chapter. We might even get to meet up with Daenerys Targaryen.
And, of course, we can expect more scenes with Queen Cersei, Jon Snow and Margaery Tyrell as the characters progress down their dangerous paths.
This will be the third episode of the six episode Telltale game. While no future release dates have been announced, Player Theory thinks it's safe to assume that we'll see them before "Winds of Winter" is finished.
