The unsurprising success of the newest addition to the "Super Smash Bros." franchise has spawned a new species of merchandise: the Amiibo, and gamer gear retailers are doing their best to get in on the goods. Most recently, geek and gamer subscription box provider Loot Crate announced a new subscription, completely separate from their monthly line, which features a limited supply of exclusive amiibo crates.
The boxes will arrive once a week for three weeks. In the end you will have received the following 10-amiibo figures:
- Donkey Kong.
- Mario.
- Kirby.
- Pikachu.
- Princess Peach.
- Yoshi.
- Fox.
- Samus.
- Luigi.
- Zelda.
Additionally the crates will also include “several other exclusive and super rare items, including a t-shirt!”
Plans choices included: Three weekly payments of $50/week + $5 s/h OR a One-time payment of $140 + $15 s/h.
Unfortunately, this batch of crates has sold out (we did say they had a limited supply) but with given how quickly that happened, there is sure to be another exclusive deal in the future. Check out the Loot Crate site, and sign up for their newsletter at the bottom of the page to be on top of their next limited edition subscription.
