Trying to get a jump on your Christmas shopping? If you need a console in your life, hang onto your hats - Nintendo's dropping two new 2DS designs!
These new transparent 2DS consoles will be available in blue or red much like the Alpha Sapphire and Omega Red versions of the upcoming “Pokémon” remakes due out later that month. In fact, bundles containing the console and their corresponding-colored game will be available when the game comes out. The game will come pre-installed on the system's 4GB memory card.
This is a great throwback to the beginning of the rise of “Pokémon.” In Sept. 1998, the first pair of “Pokémon” titles hit the U.S. and took it by storm. In November of the same year, Nintendo released the GameBoy Color, which was offered in a variety of colors which included two transparent versions: Atomic Purple and Neotones Ice.
Better catch it soon! These new 2DS versions hit shelves on Nov. 7, but if you want the bundle versions, you'll have to brave the crowd on Black Friday (Nov. 28).
