With "Fire Emblem Fates" releasing soon in North America and Europe, Nintendo told Nintendo World Report that the "controversial scene" with character support Soleil will be heavily edited at the least.
In the version of the game that ships in the U.S. and Europe, there is no expression which might be considered as gay conversion or drugging that occurs between characters.
It isn't quite clear if the scene has been outright removed, been replaced with a different one or edited to the point where the "drugging/gay conversion" is never mentioned, but the scene still plays out in a different fashion.
The controversy was caused a while back when someone mistranslated the scene from the Japanese version of the game, where the translator accidentally alluded to gay conversation, whereas that was not the case whatsoever. Player Theory has covered this user before. How Nintendo changed this particular support has yet to be seen, but there will be a change at the very least.
