September 7, 2016 marked the official reveal of the iPhone 7. What many probably didn't expect to see during the reveal was Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto appeared during the iOS event to announce a game coming to iOS (presumably first and to later devices later)- "Super Mario Run."
It appears to be a Mario game where Mario runs to the right as he collects coins, eats mushrooms, jump on Goombas, and more of the "Super Mario" routine. However, Mario will be more in constant motion, where your only action will probably be jumping. Mario can wall jump, which can lead to some strategy taking place. It should also be noted that this won't be a free app but a paid one, though in-game purchases were rumored as well.
With "Super Mario Run" expecting a December 2016 release date, the "Fire Emblem" and "Animal Crossing" mobile games were delayed. The company stated that they are expected to release sometime after "Super Mario Run," no later by March 2017.
