Joining the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Nintendo will start allowing pre-downloads for digital games. Discussed in Nintendo's Corporate Management Policy Briefing, the first game to offer the option to pre-download will be "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U.
Also, this feature will be coming to the 3DS soon. However, the option will most likely be coming some time in 2015 at the earliest, and the first to feature it hasn't been discussed yet.
"Super Smash Bros. for Wii U" is scheduled to release both digitally and physically on Nov. 21 in North America, Dec. 5 in Europe, and Dec. 6 in Japan.
