After all the encrypted tweets of Ed Boon, we have an official trailer for "Mortal Kombat X." The trailer shows an engaging battle between the game's main characters, Sub-Zero and Scorpion. This trailer seems to shed some light onto what we can expect in the new game.
In the trailer, Scorpion breaks some of Sub-Zero's ribs and a leg, hinting at the return of x-ray attacks. X-ray attacks were special attacks in the last game where you would see your hits on the inside of the body as bones shattered. Personal weapons appear to making a comebackm with Sub-Zero grabbing a frozen sword to use in battle. Weapons for each character have been in past games, but disappeared for "MK 9." These weapons were specific to each character.
MKX launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy. For the first time, Mortal Kombat X gives players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style. Players step into an original story showcasing some of the game’s most prolific characters including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers that represent the forces of good and evil and tie the tale together."
This is all that's known at the moment, but its being said that "MKX" is said to appear at E3, so check back with Player Theory in the next couple of weeks for any new information that may be revealed at the expo.
