Previously on the amiibo hunt, Wave 4 has been disastrous for those in America, as most retailers (save for Toys "R" US and Target) couldn't handle the demand. One of those includes Amazon, where Lucina and Robin solid out in mere seconds of going up. On July 14, Amazon, announced that Palutena will be Amazon exclusive, meaning there isn't a way to go into a store and buy one physically.
Amiibo News on Twitter has been keeping an eye out for the reddit user AmazonJosh on further details. He says that Amazon "learned from Wave 4" and will try and prepare for the release date, July 24. Signing up with email will alert people about when Palutena will go up live (during business hours). There will be a strict one-per-person policy as to "avoid resellers."
Josh also urges that the stock will be higher than the Lucina and Robin amiibos. Palutena will reportedly be in the numbers of the "Splatoon" 3-pack and Charizard amiibos (which lasted about fifteen minutes, as he said).
The last thing he mentions is that being prepared and being on the page on time means " you should be able to get one." With the amount of demand for amiibo right now, that may be a problem when everyone is trying to order one at the same time. Just a reminder that importing a Palutena amiibo from Japan or Europe might be a better option to avoid the rush if you don't mind a non-American version. The imports are up now and are in the relatively low $20 range as of this writing.
