"The Last Guardian"
Starting off the conference, Sony showed off "The Last Guardian." The gameplay focuses around the relationship between the boy and the griffin-dog like creature as they work together to get through obstacles in the way. The game will be coming 2016.
New Franchise: "Horizon: New Dawn"
Introduced as a new franchise, Sony with Guerilla Games announced "Horizon: New Dawn." It shows a setting of cities being overtaken by nature as they faded away. Tribes appear, hunt, and survive as there are machine-like creatures. The gameplay looks a bit like "Assassin's Creed" infused with "Tomb Raider" as the main character hunts these giant machinery creatures with a bow and arrow. Attacking certain spots of enemies may give you heavy weapons to use. There also looks like a giant overworld to explore.
With perhaps an early leak (just a few hours before the conference), the new "Hitman" was revealed. Not much was shown from the CGI trailer, but it'll be coming to "console and PC." The beta will be available to PlayStation first with exclusive contracts.
"Street Fighter V"
More of the fighting game "Street Fighter V" was shown with Birdie and Cammy making a return. The beta starts July 23.
"No Man's Sky"
The game "No Man's Sky" was shown live. Anyone can hop into a space fight, where they can choose any side they want. Solar systems were shown to demonstrate the scope of the game, as each star offers many worlds to explore (hint: too many to count). The developers discovered planets live during the demonstration, as the entire environment is destructive.
Media Molecule showed off a new title called "Dreams." Building off the creativity of their other games, "Dreams" is to work off of the many dreams of people. It works as a living painting while using the PS4 controller. The controller then uses motion capture to move the creations, which moves as smoothly as a man playing a piano or a polar bear and its cub walking in the snow. Complete chase scenes and zombie attacks are also capable.
A survivor game was shown called "Firewatch." You play a guy in the forest as he's directed by a woman on the end of the walkie-talkie.
The expansion for Bungie's "Destiny" was revealed as "The Taken King."
"Assassin's Creed Syndicate"
Evie Frye, the main character's playable sister, unleashed to the audience how lethal she can be. "The Dreadful Crimes" are missions exclusive to PlayStation.
"World of Final Fantasy"
A new "Final Fantasy" game was shown as you control two heroes, a boy and girl, as they can control their size (chibi and regular). It's coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2016.
"Final Fantasy VII" Remake
The actual "Final Fantasy VII" remake was shown, coming to PlayStation 4 first.
Devolver Games Making Console Debut
"Ronin," "Eitr," "Mother Russia Bleeds," and "Crossing Souls" will be making their console debuts on PlayStation 4.
"Shenmue 3" was revealed as a Kickstarter game.
"Batman Arkham Knight"
With the game coming out next week, "Batman Arkham Knight" was showcased. It starts off with The Joker being cremated (spoilers?). They also showed off the beginning of the game as you control an officer, Owens, as he confronts the Scarecrow with horrifying results as he sees zombie-like creatures attacking him.
Project Morpheus Shown
The VR device Project Morpheus was shown off. It will be able to be used with other people and friends. "Rigs" was also introduced, where players fight against each other. The TV subscription PlayStation Vue will be launching after the press conference.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops III"
Activision will be partnering with Sony to show "Call of Duty: Black Ops III." The gameplay with four players show the futuristic crossfire "Advanced Warfare" and EA's "Titanfall" had as they fight off the enemies (as they were shown as robotic forces). The multiplayer was also shown, being as fast-paced and explosive as ever. PlayStation owners will be the first to get map packs and beta.
"Disney Infinity 3.0"
The "Star Wars" segments of "Disney Infinity 3.0" were shown. A limited edition version will be exclusive to PlayStation consoles (with a month before certain other sets head to other consoles). Boba Fett was also shown off as a figure.
"Star Wars Battlefront (2015)"
"Star Wars Battlefront (2015)" was given a detailed look at gameplay with Admiral Ackbar over your communicator. Both first-person and third-person perspectives are available to use.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" was shown at the end of the conference as Nathan Drake and Sully explore a town. Nathan can interact with the townsfolk naturally to move them aside. The gameplay segment shows Nathan and Sully driving through the town as they avoid enemy fire by running through buildings and driving through the town (and accidentally destroying property on the way).
