Current PlayStation VP Adam Boyes announced via Twitter today that he's returning to game development after a 4-year stint with Sony. He has yet to specify the company he's working with, but later mentioned it is on the "independent side" of the industry.
During his tenure, Boyes was instrumental in developing relationships between Sony and third-party publishers, and announcing their Sony-related projects at the last few E3s. Prior to his role as VP, his resume included work with EA Canada, Capcom and the now-defunct Midway.
Adam Boyes has yet to comment on if the new development opportunity includes his longtime friend and ex-Disney Interactive producer John Vignocchi...at this point we can only hope.
