Capcom announced that "Resident Evil 4, 5, & 6" will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016.
The games will launch in reverse chronological order, starting with "Resident Evil 6" on March 29, 2016, which will include all of the post-launch DLC. "Resident Evil 5" will release sometime in Summer 2016 and "Resident Evil 4" will release sometime in Fall 2016. Each game will sell separately for $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99 digitally. However, there will be a physical disc option available for those who live in the Americas, though no date was offered and they didn't mention any other region would get an option either.
Interestingly, this covers most of the canon "Resident Evil" titles coming to the PS4 and Xbox One. Those include "Resident Evil Remake & 0" getting remastered, "Resident Evil 4, 5, & 6" with this announcement, "Resident Evil 2 Remake," and "Resident Evil: Revelations 2." The only games not covered yet are "Resident Evil 3: Nemesis," "Resident Evil Code Veronica X," and "Resident Evil: Revelations." Whereas "RE:R" (and maybe "RECV") can simply can a port, this may mean that "RE3" (and maybe "RECV") could get a remake as well following the "RE2" remake. That is just speculation, though. Capcom mentioned how they are bringing a lot of "Resident Evil" to the PS4 and Xbox One, however, so they could have something planned in the long run.
