One medium that the zombie video game series "Resident Evil" hasn't tackled is a TV series. There's been games, books, comic books, and movies, but not something on television. However, recent reports indicate "Resident Evil" will be treading into TV territory soon enough.
Revealed on Variety, the Constantin Film house will be producing TV series of "Resident Evil" and "Mortal Instruments." The only information given on the "Resident Evil" TV series is that production will start after the final film in Paul W.S. Anderson's "Resident Evil" movie series is completed. It could very well be a spin-off of the movies, but nothing concrete has been stated on what direction the TV series will take.
The final "Resident Evil" movie, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" (tentatively titled), is still in production and expected to release some time in 2015. The latest "Resident Evil" game in the works, "Resident Evil Revelations 2," is set for an early release in 2015 and will be available first episodically with all the episodes together on disc later in the year.
