Duncan Drummond of Hopoo Games announced via the PlayStation Blog today that the studio's flagship title, "Risk of Rain" is indeed coming to PS4 and PS Vita after a long incubation.
Almost 2 years ago to the day the roguelike platformer was announced as in development for Sony's platforms. Drummond's blog post notes that it will make use of Sony's automatic matchmaking to group with others at the press of a button. Couch co-op will work in online lobbies to match with players locally and beyond. Further, cross-play means players can battle together whether on PS4 or Vita.
Risk of Rain is an 8-bit action platformer with roguelike elements. Players fight alone or co-operatively with up to 3 others, battling aliens and ghosts on a mysterious planet. Check out the announcement trailer below:
